| | Goals 1. To assess learning styles and “learnabilities” in order to understand the nature of students' unique strengths and challenges related to learning. 2. To provide strategies and suggestions for capitalizing on students' strengths in order to compensate for their challenges related to learning. 3. To help students practice skills and strategies based on their strengths to the point that they can use them INDEPENDENTLY in the course of their education/vocation. 4. To help students generate ways of sharing knowledge about their unique learning profiles with teachers/professors, school staff, employers, and others. 5. To help students increase self-esteem related to learning and other tasks. In general, to help students achieve mastery of their own learning so that they no longer need services.
